聯(lián)發(fā)科將于2014年Q3推出64位智能手機(jī)方案

元器件交易網(wǎng)訊4月29日消息，據(jù)外媒報(bào)道，聯(lián)發(fā)科計(jì)劃于2014年第三季度推出64位智能手機(jī)方案，四核MT6732和八核MT6752，這比原定計(jì)劃提前一個(gè)季度。

聯(lián)發(fā)科發(fā)布MT6732和MT6752將會(huì)加劇64位芯片市場(chǎng)的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)，目前包括高通、英偉達(dá)、英特爾、博通和美滿(mǎn)電子科技在內(nèi)的企業(yè)都參與進(jìn)來(lái)。

聯(lián)發(fā)科64位CPU專(zhuān)注于入門(mén)級(jí)到中級(jí)智能手機(jī)，因?yàn)橹袊?guó)和其它新興市場(chǎng)對(duì)入門(mén)級(jí)手機(jī)和中端機(jī)需求很大。

另外，消息稱(chēng)，2014年下半年，八核和64位CPU都很可能成為入門(mén)級(jí)手機(jī)和中端機(jī)的主流技術(shù)。

MediaTek plans to launch two 64-bit smartphones solutions, the quad-core MT6732 and 8-core MT6752, in the third quarter of 2014, which is one quarter earlier than its original schedule, according to industry sources.

The release of MediaTek MT6732 and MT6752 chips will further intensify the competition in the 64-bit segment, which currently accommodates a number of leading players including Qualcomm, Nvidia, Intel, Broadcom and Marvell Technology, the sources indicated.

MediaTek's 64-bit CPUs will target the entry-level to mid-range smartphone segment as entry-level and mid-range smartphones are expected to be in large demand in the China and other emerging markets, said the sources.

Additionally, 8-core or 64-bit CPUs are also likely to become mainstream technology for entry-level and mid-range smartphones in the second half of 2014, the sources commented.
